Praxis

The Praxis® tests measure the academic skills and subject-specific content knowledge needed for teaching. The Praxis tests are taken by individuals entering the teaching profession as part of the certification process required by many states and professional licensing organizations. Emmaus Teacher Education majors complete the Praxis® tests during their senior year as part of the process for earning their teaching license for the state of Iowa. Students must achieve the cut score as determined by the state of Iowa annually.
