“Principles of Excellence for Educational Institutions Serving Service Members, Veterans, Spouses, and Other Family Members” (Executive Order 13607)
Emmaus Bible College has signed the intent to comply memo and submitted it the VA regarding Executive Order 13607.
The Principles of Excellence and the Voluntary Education Partnership MOU encompass:
- Standardized Cost Form:
Prior to enrollment, Emmaus utilizes a financial aid shopping sheet to provide students with a personalized information covering the total cost of an educational program i.e., program costs, student debt estimates, and Federal financial aid options.
- Financial Aid Information:
The Emmaus web site lists information about financial aid programs (federal, state and institutional). www.emmaus.edu/tuition-aid
- Fraudulent and aggressive recruiting techniques and misrepresentation:
Emmaus does not conduct fraudulent and aggressive recruiting practices.
Emmaus is accredited by North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and the Association for Biblical Higher Education. Emmaus obtains the approval of its accrediting agencies for new course or program offerings before enrolling students in such programs.
Emmaus provides accommodations for service members and reservists absent due to service requirements.
If a student is awarded Federal student aid, an applicable Return to Title IV Aid calculation is done. All other military and veteran students have the same refund policy as all other students.
- Individual Education Plans:
All Emmaus students are assigned an advisor. The advisor works with the Emmaus Registrar to develop an academic plan for each student. Academic plans can also be found here.
- Academic and financial counseling point(s) of contact:
The Vice President of Academic Affairs is the contact point for academic counseling and advising and the Financial Aid Director is the contact point for financial counseling.
