Emmaus Ministries

Emmaus Bible College is proud to be related to a variety of ministries that serve the Lord's people. Some of these ministries are sponsored by the College and some are ministries led by our faculty members and friends.

EmmausOnline

As a service to the assemblies and the worldwide church, Emmaus Bible College offers several of its courses online. These courses are offered in video and audio format. Access requires the use of a computer and a high speed internet connection or a mobile device with Internet access. Lectures may be streamed or downloaded and viewed offline. Not every course taught at Emmaus is available, but new courses and lectures are added regularly. College credit is not available for EmmausOnline courses.
You can learn more about the ministry of EmmausOnline here.

Extension Courses

Emmaus offers Bible and Bible-related evening courses in local churches within approximately 90 miles of the college. Extension courses provide opportunities for God’s people to become better grounded in the Word and for young people to get a taste for college-level Bible study. The entire Emmaus curriculum is available for selection by the local sponsoring committee. College credit is not available for extension courses. Call Julie Hansel at 563-588-8000 x1107 for more information.

Iron Sharpens Iron

Many of the issues facing the Church today are common to our local assemblies as well. As a movement, although we value the autonomy of the local church, we also recognize the interdependence of our assemblies, and desire to work together as we identify solutions to the issues we face. Iron Sharpens Iron is an annual conference for sharpening one another's vision and skills for building the local church. Visit www.isi.emmaus.edu to learn more about this year's conference.

Journey Magazine

Journey Magazine is one of the best communication tools that our college has ever published. With nearly 14,000 subscribers and an estimated readership of nearly 30,000 people, Journey assists us in disseminating Emmaus news to the friends, alumni, faculty, staff and students that make up our constituency. Additionally, it serves as a forum for discussion among believers in New Testament assemblies. Journey provides a biblical and balanced perspective on various issues confronting our churches today and seeks to offer helpful suggestions for addressing them. Our articles are written to encourage believers in the work of building the local church, engagement in evangelism, participation in para church ministry and other spiritual disciplines. Click here to learn more.

Emmaus Sister Organizations

Emmaus International

Emmaus International (Formerly ECS Ministries) exists for life transformation through the study of God’s Word. This has traditionally been done through books, resources, and correspondence courses. They have distributed over 45 million courses around the globe since 1942. Their courses can be found in the prisons of Chicago and the savannas of Africa, helping millions study the Bible in their own language. The courses continue to be a foundation for their ministry. With the launch of their new mobile app, Emmaus International is aiming to expand their reach to millions more. The app contains many courses at once, in many languages, and can be accessed anywhere around the world instantly. The newest branch of Emmaus International is LIT (Life in Truth) Discipleship. LIT Discipleship hosts events across the country encouraging churches and teaching how they can apply discipleship principles in their local church context. Believers Stewardship Services

Believers Stewardship Services (formerly known as Emmaus Trust Services) is a ministry designed to glorify God by helping Christians accomplish their financial and estate planning goals in fulfilling biblical stewardship. This mission is accomplished by educating believers about these important topics, encouraging them as they seek to be wise stewards, and enabling them to implement their personal financial and estate planning goals, all without charge or obligation. Other services are available to assist local assemblies and related ministries in stewardship, planned giving, and other related matters.
