Announcing Emmaus University

From the President's Desk

November 2024

We are overjoyed to announce that Emmaus Bible College will officially become Emmaus University on January 1, 2025!

This announcement comes on the heels of the decision by the Higher Learning Commission and the Association of Biblical Higher Education allowing us to offer accredited master’s degrees – our first being Bible and Ministry through Emmaus University Global.

While our educational mission is expanding, the core of who and what we are is not changing. We remain steadfast in our laser focus to ensure Scripture is and will always be the heart of our programs. We accomplish this by enrolling mission-fit students, our rigorous hiring process for faculty and staff, and reaffirming our commitment to our doctrinal statement annually. From our beginning, the name Emmaus, taken from Luke 24, reminds us of the values and importance of knowing the Scriptures.

Knowing the Bible is essential for all of faith and learning—Scripture is the foundation of every program offered at Emmaus. This is what sets Emmaus University apart and what we continue to hold sacred.

Emmaus University communicates the complementary nature of all our programs, with every student enjoying a major in bible alongside a professional program of choice. This, coupled with our new graduate degree opportunity, allows us to continue our vision of being flourishing, relevant, and accessible as a trusted name for transformational learning rooted in biblical truth.

We have never been more excited for our future as we have an opportunity to expand our reach through mission fit students around the globe who seek to impact the world for Christ.

Our continued impact remains dependent on those who invest in Emmaus. Today, I ask you to prayerfully consider joining others who are supporting Emmaus University.

With the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ,
Philip Boom, PhD | President
Dr. Steven Leary | Board of Trustees Chairman

PS. It’s an exciting time as Emmaus’s reach is growing to provide opportunities for more students to experience a Biblically-based graduate degree in Bible and Ministry. What a blessing to be able to share His Word with more students who seek to glorify Him in their professional and personal lives.
