Emmaus Bible College is seeking candidates for a full-time faculty position in the Intercultural Studies Department beginning January or August 2019. The mission of the Intercultural Studies program at Emmaus is to equip students to become agents for cross-cultural worldview transformation. The college is seeking candidates for the position with the following credentials and experience:

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
The education, training, and experience typically required are as follows:

  1. A minimum of a master’s degree in missiology, intercultural studies, or a related field from an accredited college or university (preference to a person holding an academic doctorate)
  2. Significant experience in missions or other cross-cultural ministry
  3. Teaching experience in formal academic settings (college teaching experience preferred)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND DISPOSITIONS
The knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for this position include:

  1. Born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ
  2. Demonstrated, contagious Christian character
  3. Alignment with the Doctrinal Statement of Emmaus Bible College
  4. Commitment to the Mission, Core Values, and Institutional Goals of Emmaus Bible College
  5. Knowledge of and commitment to assembly missions*
  6. Ability to integrate Biblical truth with missiology theory and practice
  7. Ability to teach effectively with a commitment to the scholarship of teaching and learning
  8. Understanding of the needs and trends associated with traditional college age students as well as world missions
  9. Ability to develop connections with missionaries and others in cross-cultural ministry
  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  11. High professional, ethical, and moral standards
  12. Willingness to serve
  13. Recommendations of quality performance
