Job Description: 

Emmaus Bible College is seeking candidates for a full-time faculty position in the Intercultural Studies program beginning January or August 2022. The mission of the Intercultural Studies program at Emmaus is to equip students to become agents for cross-cultural worldview transformation. The college is seeking candidates for the position with the following credentials and experience:

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

  1. A minimum of a master’s degree in missiology, intercultural studies, or a related field from an accredited college or university (preference to a person holding an academic doctorate)\
  2. Significant experience in missions or other cross-cultural ministry
  3. Teaching experience in formal academic settings (college teaching experience preferred)
  4. Online teaching experience is desirable but not required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND DISPOSITIONS

  1. Born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ
  2. Demonstrated, contagious Christian character
  3. Alignment with the Doctrinal Statement of Emmaus Bible College
  4. Commitment to the Mission, Core Values, and Institutional Goals of Emmaus Bible College
  5. Competence in teaching with a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development in the scholarship of teaching and learning
  6. Currency in the discipline as demonstrated by active professional development and scholarship
  7. Commitment to the missionary dimension of the Great Commission and familiarity with the missionary history of the Plymouth Brethren
  8. Ability to integrate Biblical truth with missiology theory and practice
  9. Ability to work collaboratively with respect to course development and delivery, and achievement of institutional mission and goals
  10. Sincere interest in teaching and ministering to college students
  11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  12. High professional, ethical, and moral standards
  13. Willingness to serve
  14. Recommendations of quality performance
