Emmaus Bible College Adds Certified Financial Planning and Digital Marketing to Business Department Program Offerings

Through a partnership with LCMC, Emmaus Bible College is expanding its curriculum with the additions of a Certified Financial Planning (CFP) minor and Digital Marketing major or minor. The CFP minor can be added to our current majors and provides graduates with valuable skills for their ministries and/or professions. The Digital Marketing major/minor is built on the foundation of our Business Administration core curriculum and provides students with expertise in areas that corporations, nonprofit organizations, and other employers are seeking in college graduates.

“We are excited to offer these new programs in conjunction with our Bible and Theology core curriculum. There is no better place than Emmaus Bible College for a student to become grounded in a biblical and ethical basis for their work,” President Boom said. “We continue to look for new and relevant ways to equip our graduates for service in their ministries and professions.”

Certified Financial Planning
The Certified Financial Planning program is designed to prepare students for a career as a Financial Planner or Advisor by teaching students the art of setting financial goals and identifying the tools needed to reach them. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Personal Financial Advisors have a projected job growth 40% higher than the national average over the next 10 years. Financial Advisors and Planners are accredited by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP Board), which ensures that advisors and planners meet strict educational, professional and ethical requirements. Students who complete a bachelor’s degree, in addition to the seven-course certificate, will successfully fulfill the CFP Board’s education requirement and be prepared to sit for the CFP Exam.

Digital Marketing
Digital Marketing teaches students to be nimble thinkers, skilled in both the art of persuasive communication and the science of data analytics. Emmaus’ program gives you a deep background in both, and assists students to build the intuition needed to blend them into effective strategies. While the ability for companies to connect with customers has continued to shift online, many marketing programs have failed to keep up with the latest strategies including social media marketing, search engine optimization, and organic growth. The Emmaus program starts with core business fundamentals taught from a biblical worldview, and then teaches students digital marketing concepts that are critical for today’s labor market. The LCMC partnership allows Emmaus to add these new academic offerings without sacrificing uncompromised Biblical education in a Christ-centered environment. Graduates of all bachelor degree programs at Emmaus complete a robust Bible and Theology core regardless of major.

The Certified Financial Planning and Digital Marketing programs are available starting in Spring 2021. Select courses are offered in partnership with the LCMC, a consortium of colleges and universities across the country collaborating on premier offerings that focus on providing students with successful pathways to employment.
