Transition Plan for Bible Faculty Members

December 13, 2016

Dave Glock, Jack Fish, and David MacLeod have been serving as key Bible and Theology faculty members at Emmaus Bible College for a combined 130 years of service this year, and we are deeply grateful for their ongoing ministry.

In cooperation with Dave, Jack, and Dave, the college has developed a transition plan to provide for the seamless succession of qualified Bible faculty members at Emmaus. Beginning next semester (January 2017), the three men will begin reducing their teaching load to two to three classes a semester. As the transition plan progresses, adjustments will be made to the course load of each faculty member in consultation with them, the department chair, and academic vice president. As course loads are adjusted, and new, full-time Bible faculty members are added, there will be opportunity for the present faculty to continue as adjunct faculty members as they so desire.

Words cannot fully express our gratitude for their long and fruitful service to the college and their ongoing ministry into the future. We are thankful for the opportunity to continue to have each of them engaged in the classroom and in the life of the college as we continue our key mission of teaching the Bible. This release is to communicate the beginning of this transition, not their retirement; there will be future opportunities to appropriately thank these men and recognize their individual contributions in the coming days.

Please join us in continuing to honor these Bible faculty members for their faithful ministry at Emmaus Bible College. The impact of these men in the lives of Emmaus students is immeasurable.
