Greetings from Emmaus Bible College. It’s hard to believe that the end of our Spring semester is just around the corner.
I’d like to take this opportunity to bring to your attention the different end-of-the-year events that we especially want you to be aware of, and that we trust you’ll be able to attend.
On Friday, May 10th, at 7:30pm the Emmaus Bible College Baccalaureate Ceremony will take place in our Marble Chapel. This special event also serves as our award ceremony when we recognize and honor our students and graduates with achievement and academic awards. Please plan to join us as we say “well done” to this year’s graduates and student body.
Prior to the Baccalaureate Ceremony, there will be a special hors d'oeuvres reception held in our dining hall at 5:30 pm. We would love to have you attend. This will be a time for students and their family members to mix and mingle with EBC faculty, staff and friends. This reception is free of charge for current fulltime resident students, and all 2013 EBC graduates, but we are asking that family members and friends purchase tickets at the cost of $5.00 per person. Tickets do not need to be purchased in advance, but we do ask that you RSVP, no later than April 30th, so we can have an accurate number for planning purposes. Tickets may be purchased any time at the front desk. You may RSVP to the EBC front desk receptionist in the following ways:
On Saturday, May 11th, the Emmaus Bible College Commencement Ceremony takes place in the Marble Chapel at 10:30 am. Doors open at 9:30 am. This event is open to all family members and friends, and we hope you will join us in congratulating our graduates on the successful culmination of their studies.
For your planning purposes, please be aware that breakfast on May 11th will be the last meal provided for this year’s student body. There will be no lunch following our graduation ceremony.
If you have any additional questions regarding the graduation weekend events, please don’t hesitate to ask. You can reach Janelle Routley, Associate Dean for Student Development at email@example.com or 563-588-8000 x1123.
