    ALACCA Bible Camp is accepting applications for a new Camp Director. ALACCA Bible camp is a non-profit, non-denominational organization. The Camp is located in Harpster Idaho on the South Fork of the Clearwater River in rural north central Idaho. The area is well known for its outdoor recreational activities including rafting, camping, back packing, hiking, hunting, fishing and ATV-ing to name but a few. The camp opened in June 1970 and has been and continues to be blessed by generous individual supporters as well as local churches. The camp has no paid staff. As a missionary, the Camp Director will be required to raise support from donors. The camp can provide contact information and assistance in raising support. The camp can provide short term transitional support as needed. On-site housing is provided with the position as well as utilities and medical assistance.

    The Camp Director is responsible for the overall function and day to day operations of ALACCA Bible Conference. He will answer directly to the Board of directors for the purpose of implementing and managing the mission of the organization. The Camp Director position requires strong administrative skills which will also require hands on application in all areas of camp, including, but not limited to: business affairs, fund raising, facilities improvement/maintenance, spiritual direction, program planning, and camp promotion.  The Camp Director with his spouse shall work as a missionary team to manage ALACCA Bible Camp.   • Children’s Ministry Director Position at Maranatha Bible Church in Cedar Rapids, IA

    Job Description: Provide leadership and direction to a Christ-centered children’s ministry in order to impact children and their families for Christ.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Lead and facilitate the current Children’s Ministry. Provide an environment for training in the Word, discipleship, worship, and fellowship. Recognize opportunities for new ministry within the church and community.
    • Develop a volunteer base into a deeply committed and enthusiastic group of leaders who teach biblical truth and pour into the lives of children.

    Specific Functions:

    Oversee all programming and ministry for children preschool through 6th grade, including Sunday School,Children’s Church, and Vacation Bible School.

    Qualifications and experience:

    • Testimony - Acknowledge Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior, and demonstrate personal maturity in Christian living.
    • Member - Be a fully-supportive member and promoter of Maranatha’s statement of faith, vision and philosophy of ministry.
    • Education – Bachelor’s degree (preferred), in education, biblical studies or appropriate field of study related to children’s ministry.
    • Work experience – Experience leading a church-based children’s ministry preferred. Experience in a mid-size church ministry a plus.
    • Leader – Effective leader and self-driven motivator to build a solid volunteer team.
    • Team Player – Must display the ability to be a team player, and yet be able to work independently.
    • Communication skills – A pleasant and helpful demeanor, as well as the ability to clearly communicate to volunteers, children, and parents in a manner that is engaging, courteous and professional.

    • Possesses an appreciation for contemporary and traditional styles of worship

    • Has a clear ability to lead with our praise band (piano/keyboard, guitar or vocal ability preferred)

    Responsibilities

    • Create, plan, and direct a youth ministry program for Jr. and Sr. High students

    Compensation

    Salary to be determined according to experience and training. Two weeks of paid vacation will be provided.

    Accountability

    This staff member will report to the Senior Pastor and the Spiritual Coordination Council in regard to youth pastor & worship roles and to the CCC Board re: CCC responsibilities.

  • Administrator at Light Haven Christian Home in Ontario, Canada

    At Light Haven we have celebrated over 30 years of God’s faithfulness, and we continue to seek His guidance as we serve the Lord in our local community. We have deep historical roots to Emmaus Bible College, as two of our founding charter members (Jean Young and Paul Flint) taught for many years at the Chicago location of the school, and several other founding charter members: Arnold Spears, Chester Donaldson and Evelyn Miller (nee Taylor) and current and former directors on the Board are Emmaus alumnae.

    Light Haven is a Christian retirement home in Northern Ontario, located 40 miles east of Sault Ste. Marie on the shores of beautiful Lake Huron. It opened its doors in 1981 after three years of construction by volunteer workers and with the financial and prayerful support of many individuals and assemblies. For more than 30 years Light Haven has been able to provide comfortable, home-like retirement living for elderly people in a Christian environment. Many of our residents have come to know the Lord in the sunset years of their life.

    As we look ahead, we seek the Lord’s continuing direction on all aspects of the Home’s operations and the ministry to seniors in the North. Of the many items requiring prayer, our most immediate need is for a new Administrator to manage the Home. We have been blessed with the involvement of many Christians over the years, many of whom continue to be actively involved on a volunteer basis. We are thankful for their faithfulness and for the many ways in which they continue to assist Light Haven in meeting the challenges that exist.

    The role of Administrator would be ideally suited to a Christian couple who are in fellowship with their local assembly, have a heart for service and Christian ministry particularly involving seniors, and some leadership or managerial skills or experience. Some health care or nursing experience would be an asset, but not required. The financial and reporting aspects are managed by a bookkeeper, so although oversight of those aspects of the Home’s operations would be involved, they will be assisted by a very capable bookkeeper.
