Academic Honors

 

Delta Epsilon Chi

Delta Epsilon Chi is the honor society of the Association for Biblical Higher Education. The Emmaus faculty nominates students to the honor society based on academic achievement, Christian character, and leadership ability.

Academic Award

The Academic Award is given to the graduating senior who achieves the highest cumulative grade point average throughout his or her Emmaus education.

Bible Exposition and Theology Award

The Bible Exposition and Theology Award is given to the outstanding graduating senior in the program. The recipient is determined by the faculty of the Bible and Theology department.

Biblical Languages Award

The Biblical Languages Award is presented annually to a student who has done outstanding work in Biblical languages. The recipient is determined by Biblical Languages faculty.

Business Administration Award

The Business Administration Award is given annually to the outstanding graduate in the department. The recipient is determined by the Business faculty.

Certificate of Biblical Studies Award

The Certificate of Biblical Studies Award is presented annually to one male and one female student who have completed the certificate with high academic achievement and have demonstrated Christian character and leadership throughout the year.

Christian Service Learning Award

The Christian Service Award is given annually to the student who best demonstrates leadership and commitment in carrying out Christian Service Learning responsibilities. The recipient is determined by the Ministry Formation committee.

Computer Information Systems Award

The Computer Information Systems Award is given to the outstanding graduate in the department. The recipient is determined by the Computer Studies faculty.

Counseling Psychology Award

The Counseling Psychology Award is presented annually to a graduate who has done outstanding work in the department. The recipient is determined by the Counseling faculty.

Dean's List

Students achieving a 3.5 or better grade point average qualify to be on the Dean's List. This award is recognized at the conclusion of each semester.

Elementary Education Award

The Elementary Education Award is given to the graduate who best exemplifies the skills and dispositions found in an effective teacher. The recipient is determined by the Teacher Education faculty.

Intercultural Studies Award

The Intercultural Studies Award is given to the graduate who best exemplifies the skills and dispositions found in an effective missionary. The recipient is determined by the Intercultural Studies faculty.

Music Award

The Music Award is presented annually to a student for participation in and service to the music program. The recipient is determined by the Music faculty.

Music Education Student Teaching Award

The Music Education Student Teaching Award is given to the graduating music student teacher who has demonstrated outstanding achievement during student teaching.The recipient is determined by the Music and Teacher Education faculties.

Music Ministry Award

The Music Ministry Award is given to an outstanding graduate from the Music Ministry program. The recipient is determined by the Music faculty.

Student Teaching Award

The Student Teaching Award is given to the graduating student teacher who has demonstrated outstanding achievement during student teaching. The recipient is determined by the Teacher Education faculty.

TESOL Award

The TESOL Award is presented annually to a graduate who has done outstanding work in the TESOL minor or certificate programs. The recipient is determined by TESOL faculty.

Youth Ministries Award

The Youth Ministries Award is given to the graduate who best exemplifies the skills and dispositions found in an effective youth worker. The recipient is determined by the Christian Education faculty.
