General Education Chair/History Faculty Position

Emmaus Bible College is seeking applicants for a general education chair/history faculty position in our General Education Department beginning in August 2012 or January 2013.  The General Education program at Emmaus supports the academic aspirations of students by equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary for success in their major areas of study and life-long learning.   The position includes classroom teaching in history and administrative responsibilities for program effectiveness, including faculty management and development, budgeting, assessment of student learning, and academic advising.

We are seeking candidates for the position with the following experience/credentials (in no particular order):

  • A minimum of a master’s degree in history, history education, or related field (doctorate preferred)
  • Teaching experience in history and/or government (high school or college experience preferred)
  • Ability to teach effectively at the college level
  • Demonstrated administrative and leadership ability
  • Commitment to the mission and vision of Biblical higher education
  • Commitment to New Testament principles of church life
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Recommendations of quality performance
  • High professional, ethical, and moral standards
  • Spiritual maturity
  • Willingness to serve

Admissions Counselor Position

Title: Admissions Counselor

Office/Department: Admissions Office

Description: This position is responsible for representing Emmaus Bible College to prospective students and their families.  Responsibilities include:

  • Meets with and communicates necessary information to prospective students.
  • Coordinates special weekends geared to current students and prospective students.
  • Representing Emmaus Bible College at high schools, college fairs, and evening receptions
  • Conducting tours of the campus to prospective students and their families
  • Respond to telephone calls and emails from prospective students and parents.

Requirements: The successful candidate will need excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills. A bachelor’s degree is required.  Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able and willing to frequently travel to various fairs and schools; with many evening and weekend commitments.

Intercultural Studies/TESOL Faculty Position

Emmaus Bible College is seeking applicants for a faculty position in our Intercultural Studies/Missions Department beginning in fall 2012.  The Intercultural Studies/Missions program at Emmaus has historically played a key role in preparing leaders and workers for cross-cultural ministry and service.  The position includes classroom teaching in the area of intercultural studies/missions and may include teaching courses in ESL depending on credentials and experience.

We are seeking candidates for the position with the following experience/credentials (in no particular order):

  1. A masters (or doctorate) in missiology, theology, or linguistics preferred
  2. Missiology training 
  3. Significant cross-cultural experience 
  4. Church planting experience, including evangelism and discipleship
  5. Knowledge of and commitment to assembly missions 
  6. Ability to effectively teach at the college level
  7. Commitment to the mission and vision of Biblical higher education
  8. Commitment to New Testament principles of church life
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  10. Recommendations of quality performance
  11. High professional, ethical, and moral standards
  12. Spiritual maturity
  13. Willingness to serve
