A Word From Our President

Thank you for considering Emmaus. We are first and foremost a Bible college. We exist primarily to educate students in biblical studies. Our students choose us because they love the Lord and want to serve Him. They hunger to know Him more deeply, and would like training for servant-leadership in the church. They would like knowledgeable faculty who enjoy mentoring students in shoulder to shoulder service.

Secondly, we are Bible AND...  Though everyone majors in Bible, the majority of our students choose a second major related to their vocational goals. For example, you can study the Bible AND prepare to become an elementary school teacher. You could study the Bible AND prepare for a career in computers. This blend has proved very useful to our students, because they plan to be very active in local church ministry and want a career as well.

Most of our dorm rooms are private and lend themselves well to study. If you are looking for a break all you need to do is open your door.

Our faculty demonstrates scholarship, but also has a heart for one-on-one mentoring relationships. It is common to be invited into faculty homes.

Dubuque is a very nice city for a college. We are one of seven colleges or seminaries here, located on rolling hills overlooking the Mississippi River. It is a safe town with a nice selection of churches and ministries.

The best way to see if Emmaus is for you is to visit us in person. We invite you to come and see all that we have to offer.
